GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper, or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.

STEP 1. Draw 3 circles for the cerberus heads. Underneath them mark an arch for the torso.

STEP 2. Draw auxiliary lines for the body.

STEP 3. Mark the mouths on all the heads. Sketch the paws and tail. Erase any excess lines.

STEP 4. Separate the centre head with the neck. Mark the ears and make the outlines of the paws more distinct.

STEP 5. Start drawing the faces and detail the ears. Finish the silhouette of the body and tail.

STEP 6. Draw three collars. Add pupils to the eyes. Sketch open mouths on the centre and right head. Finalise the shapes of the heads and body. Make creases on the body and detail the fingers. Erase all the excess.

STEP 7. Draw the teeth and finish the eyes. Make a collar shape and add folds to the body and heads.

STEP 8. Add spikes to the collar. Detail the body and draw claws.

STEP 9. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour Cerberus, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line.
